This Kind Of Love
(Josh Campbell-Brian Weber - 6/04)

She cries- tears that fill her eyes
They blur familiar surroundings in this room
She prays- God if you're really
there then why
Did you just let him walk away?

These angels that float above you now
Whisper answers to ease
your fears your doubts
Sometimes it's hard to believe what you know is true
(You'll never find this kind of love…)
When the earth that stands
beneath you now
Shakes and crumbles falls away somehow
Won't you know I was always here for you
(You'll never find this kind of love…)
You could search for a
thousand years or more
And never find this kind of love…

He says- why, why do I feel dead inside
Even when I hold you close to me?
I can't describe this pain inside
Listen to me there was a life here
Sometimes bliss is swift swallowed by fear
Something's holding the real life back in me

notes: Josh came up with the music to this song. I like the fluid sound of it on the verses and then it rocks out on the chorus. It just has a lot of feeling. I knew I wanted lyrics to match the feeling right off and it took a lot of time to come up with something that fit. This was one of those songs like Falling where the music itself communicated something and it was a matter of capturing it in words... The verses became a divorced or separated couple expressing their frustration and despair... the chorus is a reply from the perspective of God above... I think somewhere inside the music resonated with my personal experience that in my most desperate times I've been comforted without even knowing it sometimes... and it's not until later when I'm thinking straight again that I recognize who was there for me... --Brian Weber
