Rob You Blind
(Josh Campbell-Brian Weber -12/01)

Out in L.A. where gods and angels play
At The Whiskey taking in the atmosphere
My back was to the door when she came across that floor
I could feel the chills up and down my spine
She took me by the hand
and we began to dance
And we danced together
all through the night
With the break of dawn oh she was gone
She'd swept on through and robbed me blind

I didn't see her there but I felt her in the air
She sent a vibe out
when she walked into the room
She got in my head
before a single word was said
She took me by the hand
and she took me by the soul
And I thought I could love her
as well as any other
But that was a mistake
from which I never will recover
So I wrote a little ditty
a man who's to be pitied
And that's what you're hearing today
She could rock and roll and she stole my heart and soul
Then she made a beeline South to the border of Mexico

So the story goes I just wanted you to know
You can take more from a man than his money or clothes
You can reel him in and get under his skin
You can crush his heart and steal his soul
So if she takes you by the hand and you begin to dance
Make sure you know her before you step on that floor

music: Josh Campbell
lyrics and melody: Brian Weber

notes: This is just a flat out blues rock song. Josh came up with the cool riff built on a basic blues chord pattern and I just made up a story to go over it. I like the chorus and it is a lot of fun to sing.
