In My Darkest Hour
(Brian Weber -11/18/97)

I didn't know how far I'd fallen down in life
Until your hand appeared and lifted me
I didn't know how empty I felt in the pit of my stomach
Until you showed me what its like to be full

I didn't know anything but hate in this world
Until your love rained down on me
I didn't know how much it hurt the pain inside me
Until you restored some tenderness to me

In my darkest hour that's when I met you
In my darkest hour I started life brand new
In my darkest hour you had mercy on me
In my darkest hour one light shown through

I didn't know how dirty I was inside and out
Until you cleaned me all the way through
I didn't know a lot of things about this life
Until my darkest hour when I met you

In my darkest hour I closed my eyes and waited for the end to come
And as I knelt there the tears rolled down my face
In my darkest hour I never thought I'd see the light again
But when I opened my eyes only you were standing there

notes: This was another song that came pretty quick to me. I wish all songs were like that. I actually was living in southern California when I wrote this song. It was inspired by a message a friend of mine (Tony Venturella) shared once... we've all been there... at the low point in our lives... wondering what went wrong, wishing we could take back those decisions we made... It's about forgiveness.... --Brian Weber
